Pretty much my goodbye. This place isn't really active, the fourm war isn't going to happen, and nobody cares for competitive VG at all. Also, there is no activity, or posts very often. Even when there was no school. So, pretty much goodbye. This is my last post.~PDC

sorry you feel that way.  the TCG season was on a bit of a slump the last month and a half due to no tournament activity.  now that states is around the corner, I can expect a little more activity on here, maybe even new members.

Theres no need for this kind of comment, if you really dont believe in this forum than stop posting.  What you said here sounds really negative, its not anyones fault that this forum seems dead to YOU, but to others its a good way of communicating.

Also your PM sent to everyone about you quitting was sent awhile ago and here you are still going.

i guess i don't understand why anybody would declare that they're leaving.  obviously you'll still email/AIM/chat with your friends on here, just because you don't want to dedicate as much posting time doesn't warrant a big goodbye, just take some time off and come back whenever you feel

Alex S. said he was leaving a while ago. You locked his thread. Then, he posted once or twice again, and he has yet to post since like November. THATS leaving. Leaving isn't going but posting in basically like only this thread. Thats like me saying I would leave beach but only post in the Strategies and Combos section. PDC, you weren't ever really ON much at all, so I guess I didn't talk to you or w/ you at all, except for the retarded thread in which you guys all complained about how the mods were to strict on beach when they really weren't and you just had something upyabutt. See ya I guess. As for Shadow Ice, I cant really say good bye because I know that it isn't. Your gonna say your going, but actually come back and post again, because Mark asked you to.

As many others mentioned, the boards are slow.  And you have every right to leave if you want.  i have thought about it myself a few times.  
A couple of counter ponts to some of the previous comments.
1) If you want to leave, go.  Not saying this to be disrespectful, just honest.  I am sure if you are friends with folks on here, you will talk to them in other ways.  I dont think declaring you are leaving does much more than beg others to try and talk you out of it.  Again, not trying to be mean, just honest.
2) As far as these boards being centered primarily around people from the midwest, well it is call "midwestpokemon".  I am not sure who else it shoulld be centered around.  Believe me I love the fact that people from everywhere are on here.  I am just not too sure I could justify leaving a forum for this.
3) when it comes to which catergories people post in, well cant help much here either.  I am only involved in the tcg.  I have no time or interest in playing the DS.  Oh I own one including a copy of Platinum, but it just isnt me.  Complaining about the lack of activity in the VCG section when you are here for those things is like complaining about you car being dirty but not washing it.  If you want more activity there, make it happen, dont wait for it to come to you.  From where I sit the TCG side isnt full of life either.  So I try to start threads up about events, trades, etc or make comments on others threads to keep things going.  I even talk to other TCG people when I see them at events and invite them to join us here.
4) as far as the bashing, etc goes, your are absolutely right.  No need or want for it here.  So.... what do we do?  Report any activity you see as abusive or not proper for the forums, let folks that are doing these things know how you feel about what is going on, basically get involved.  Believe me, any community, real life or cyberspace will only thrive if its members put the effort into it that it takes to make it grow.  Getting upset because things arent going your way, and then jumping ship really isnt going to help you or the community you are a part of.  
I do have more but I think this is too long already.  Again, I am not trying to bash anyone or point fingers.  I just want to give an honest opinion that I hope will have some of you reconsider your thoughts of leaving, and instead perhaps motivate some to dig in and help make this the site they want it to be.

@Shadowice...you missed my point completely, I honestly think you shud apologize to kcv3 because he even said he was sorry to you for you feeling the way you did, and all you said was "we'll see when that happens"  that was very disrespectful...you want more respect on towards you on this thread...well..this is a great example why you werent getting any....Kcv3 was trying to be the diplomatic one and tell you you can post anytime you want, leave when you want, do whatever you want as long as you werent disrespecting others, and you disrespected his kind apology to you with your negative comment...

And im not going to justify your question about whether im from the midwest or not with an answer becuz i dont believe thats any of your business, not trying to be mean, but i dont believe I have to tell you since youre "leaving"

@TLesky I've been trying to revive these forums for awhile with actual trade threads and whatever (which no one really did offer for anything most of the time), but I think I also had a hand in its demise by derailing all dead threads. My bad. It was still funny.

Well Sudi, to add on/counter your trades argument, unless your asking for a specific like trash rare(like...Weezing GE for example), most people that are on here go to our league at misty and usually bring the more valuable stuff with them. So I guess asking to trade on here with say Ryan, whom you usually see twice, maybe 3 times a week to bring something to trade with is kinda weird, because he would already have it. I can understand if your looking for like commons and uncommons(Reaper Cloth Duskull, prime example), because most people don't carry their hoards of commons with. Idk, I see the trading thing as kinda like a waste unless its say Troy trying to trade with say...Jeremy, and they arrange what they want, then exchange e-mails and work out the details there, but for those of us who normally see each other often or are part of TEAM SCHOOOOOOOTZ, we don't really need it. Idk. Just my two cents.

I is a bit sad that this site is very slow, but much of that can be attributed to the Minnesota Pokemon scene being pretty poorly advertised. There is no advertising for States, leagues or any other tourneys. And when there are tournaments this website isn't usually mentioned. Lucas (sp?) brought up a good point about the lack of a Pokegym thread. Or the very straightforward nature of our tournaments (I'll post more on his topic).

With a few changes we could get more activity on here, but it will never be like Pokegym or Pokebeach.

I don't visit Pokegym anymore.  I used to visit it a long time ago, but it just doesn't have the atmosphere that I want it seems.  If someone wanted to make a thread on Pokegym about the MN States, it would be nice.  I'm just not a regular poster there so I'd rather not.
